Fabienne Mathier, PhD, was born in Salgesch (Switzerland). In her first career she worked as a psychologist and psychotherapist with ten years of work experience. 2009/2010 she attended a school for theatre pedagogy in Germany (Theaterwerkstatt Heidelberg). She wrote, directed and produced the play „Ego & Geist – Eine Komödie über das Innenleben des Menschen“ (“Ego & Spirit – A comedy about the inner life of human beings”). It was performed several times in Zurich at the Maiers Theater (today: ComedyHaus).
2011/2012 she attended a film school in Munich and graduated as a First Assistant Director (Münchner Filmwerkstatt e.V.). She gained her expertise in film directing, writing and editing at the München Film Akademie in Munich. Since 2011 she works as a director and since 2013 also as a producer. „Winna – Path of the souls“ was her first full-length film.
